Overview
BetMGM is an online sports betting and igaming platform in the United States. It’s mission is to make unforgettable moments of sports and gaming personal, powerful, and fun.
As a product designer on the iGaming team, I work collaboratively with product, technical and content operation partners to improve the casino product and provide a more enjoyable and frictionless experience for players.
The Problem
BetMGM Casino has over 3,000+ online games, ranging from slots to live dealer table games.
How might we help players easily find and play their favorite games while creating a high-quality and engaging browsing experience?
Powerful and engaging browsing experiences promote game finding & discoverability, streamline the journey to gameplay, empower players to explore the game catalog & provide confidence that they’ll enjoy the game they choose.
Projects
1. App Navigation Redesign
Redesigned the BetMGM core navigation to improve usability and speed & performance of the app.
2. Content Modularization (🔒 case study)
Designed a system of content modules to improve content merchandising & enhance content visibility for players.
3. Game Details
Providing players with game information previews to enable faster, more confident game play decisions.
4. Jackpot Enhancements
Expanding BetMGM’s jackpot offerings to provide players with the opportunity to maximize their winnings.
5. Branding Exclusive Games
Creating a new sub-brand to call attention to BetMGM’s exclusive games.
6. Leading Product Vision 2025/2026
Shaping the future vision and strategy of BetMGM’s igaming product.
7. Surfacing Game Metadata
Providing real-time metadata for games to help users make informed live gameplay decisions.
8. AI Design-Workflows
Experimenting with AI tools like Claude Code, Figma Make, Kiro and Design Patterns to unlock more efficient and productive design workflows.
